Waste-to-energy (WtE) also known as energy-from-waste (EfW) is the production of energy in the form of electricity, heat or fuel from urban and/or industrial waste. This is achieved by using waste-to-energy technologies that break down waste through a series of biochemical or thermal processes.

This technology is used in waste-to-energy plants where waste is first received, sorted, classified and then transformed.

Our REVALUO system uses different processes to make waste profitable and to put an end to unhealthy and contaminated landfills. In addition, it allows us to transform waste that would otherwise not disappear, such as plastics and tyres.

In this way, landfills are reduced by up to 90%, while the waste generated is used to obtain valuable resources or to produce energy.

Plastic waste exceeds 10 billion tonnes and is one of the biggest environmental threats. Used tyres are another major public health threat, as they are often burnt, releasing toxic substances. A significant energy value can be obtained from most plastics and old tyres.

Livestock waste to renewable energy

Livestock waste (slurry, manure, etc.) is a source of greenhouse gas emissions and water pollutions, which cause global warming. The proper management of livestock waste allows us to obtain heat, soil improvers or syngas, from which we can generate energy.

Oil, lubricants and ballast water management

Lubricating oils, together with other types of used oils, have great potential for obtaining biofuels. Through the REVALUO system, we can also recover ballast water from ships, in compliance with the amendments to the BWM convention of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO).
